What is Online Therapy?

Online therapy, or teletherapy, is the provision of live video therapy through your computer or smartphone. How Does Online Therapy Work?

I use an online platform called Simple Practice. It offers a secure means to send you electronically my practice paperwork, handouts, and any exercises we may review together prior to each session. It also offers a HIPAA compliant online meeting space that offers privacy and convenience. In our initial session, we will review telehealth practices. For example, we will discuss how to create a suitable space for your teletherapy, ways to ensure that you are in a private space free of other people, and ways of optimizing your technology for a clear, comfortable connection.
