My Approach

My approach to psychotherapy is to practice from a place of warmth, openness, respect, curiosity, and compassion. I emphasize self-discovery, mindful awareness, education, collaboration, and courageous action. Therapy starts with an assessment phase - a period of "dumping out the pieces of the puzzle" and working to understand how they come together. We examine behavior and thought patterns, as well as key dynamics that may be keeping you stuck. We then work together to create a plan to address these issues in order to heal the past, change your experience of the present, and help you to create the future you want.
